My Story

The Dreamery started with a stack of dog-eared paperbacks, a love of moody, magical stories, and a dream of bringing that same feeling to Charleston’s Lowcountry. We’re an online bookshop based right here on James Island, curating fantasy, romance, and romantasy titles for readers across Charleston, West Ashley, Folly Beach, and the surrounding islands. We don’t have a storefront yet — but we’re saving up, dreaming big, and can’t wait to open a cozy little shop of our own for the Lowcountry reading community.
